Anti-Wrinkle Cream and How to Use It Effectively

When you look at your face in the morning (if you aren’t about 20) you start to notice subtle changes. Little creases here and fine lines there and that’s when you realize you are starting to get old (we’ll refrain from old because you aren’t old). But there are some that don’t mind the wrinkles; they wear them like a badge of honor. But then there are the rest of us who want to keep them at bay for as long as possible. The solution is an anti-wrinkle cream after you start seeing them, or even before.
How to Prevent Wrinkles
Of course, the key to getting rid of wrinkles is to prevent them as much as possible in the first place. Should the recommendation to stop smoking and wear sunscreen surprise anyone? No it shouldn’t. But smoking prevents the body from creating adequate collagen, leading to early wrinkling. Plus, wear the sunscreen!
Ingredients that Make Anti-Wrinkle Creams Work
There are multiple ingredients that make up the composition of these creams. We hear about Retinol a lot, which is vitamin A, an antioxidant compound that helps neutralize free radicals that cause wrinkles. There’s also vitamin C which can help protect from sun damage. Another antioxidant is niacinamin to improve elasticity of the skin. Hydroxy Acids exfoliate the skin to stimulate new growth. Coenzyme Q10 and peptides helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. There are also multiple natural grape and tea tree extracts that help with reducing those stubborn wrinkles as well. Using an anti-aging cleanser that also incorporates these ingredients before applying your anti-wrinkle cream will help to get you better results.
How to use Anti-Wrinkle Creams
As said earlier you want to prevent wrinkles from the inside out first. That means taking care of your body, drinking enough water, not smoking, and then on the outside using sunscreen. Also keep your skin moisturized. Dry skin can easily lead to wrinkles and will make your skin look older. The healthier and more moisture your skin is, the better it will look. Read the instructions of whatever one you want to use and if you are just starting out, use it daily and continuously, but know that it might take a few weeks to see results.
You have to find what works for you. What works for your friend might not give you the results you desire. Just like our DNA, our skin is different from the person next to us. Also prepare yourself that your skin might not like the cream that you are using. Sometimes, especially something new, your skin might be irritated, get a rash, or start to burn. Start on a small inconspicuous area of the face for a few days. If you have no reaction, then go for it. While it may not get rid of all the lines and wrinkles on your face, it might be enough to make you feel that much better, and younger, and that is what’s important. Find the right product and go for it!
